Projects, whether a single server deployment or something more complex like a complete office relocation or network consolidation, involve not only technical issues but a myriad of details and interactions each necessary to a successful conclusion.

Coordination between various vendors, planning meetings, schedule monitoring, progress tracking, design work (networks, server rooms, etc.), deployment plans, in short all the hundreds of details that someone has to track from start to completion to get the job done.

McMillan Consulting assigns a project manager to each major project to see that the correct resources are available as needed, that appropriate documentation is created, and that schedules and goals are met.
